Jealousy, thy name is a woman!

One fine morning in the summer of 2009, I was reciting to one of my colleagues the story of Rani Padmini --who happened to be so beautiful that a Muslim invader Alauddin Khilji decided to relinquish his conquest if only he was allowed to see her face in the mirror.

Upon hearing this story, one of my male colleagues asked me to show him a snap of her.

I was startled...how would i get a snap of her...even the camera was not invented then?

I started checking Google images fervently to find some sketch or image of the Queen...seeing the urgency with which i was searching for the queen's image...my female colleague really felt offended.

Her logic was...
How can i even think of looking at another woman (even on the web) in her presence...such a behaviour was downright criminal in her eyes...to hide her anger she started making fun of me,"ya..ya..pranav...go ahead...use all the search tricks you know...devote all the time you have in the world for this...work can take a backseat"

I was pleasantly surprised to hear these words from a female who was technically my report and i was a mentor to her but still i choose to ignore...as i was pretty convinced that this female expected something more than just mentoring from me.

This incident gave me unique insights into female psychology and i realized women cannot tolerate the sight, sound or any kind of mention of any other woman (even if she was born in the medieval era) when she is talking to you. At that time....you have to be hers...one 100%...she just doesn't want the men in her life to even look at any other woman except her.

Naughty as i am, i started using this insight more often to get my way through tricky situations involving women...whenever i see my maid not working up to mark or a female senior acting tough or a friend taking me for granted...i often bring the mention of another girl on my lips and that's enough to set the female in question on fire and under my control...ultimately losing ground to me.

I sincerely hope that the smart ones amongst my readers would  use this trick to succeed in their daily interactions.

For those who want to know what happened to the girl...she went out of my life...leaving me searching for my own 21st century version of Rani Padmini.
